BREAST REDUCTION is a surgical procedure that reduces the size or volume of the breasts by resecting one or more of its components (skin, fat and glandular tissue).
This surgery is performed in people who have a breast volume proportionally large for their size and weight, in obese people, in those who have functional muscle and/or joint problems secondary to the weight of the breasts (neck pain, spine pain, pain or burning in the breasts, pain or burning in the breast grooves, pain in hip joints and knees), people with low self-esteem and discomfort and those who have trouble finding adequate clothing for the dimensions of their breasts.
